Honeymoon Planning 101 Before I posted this blog today, I ran a quick Google search for “BEST HONEYMOON LOCATION”, it came up with 213 million different responses. That’s mind boggling! Do you have time to go through that many different places? A professional travel consultant can take that 213 million and turn it into two or three different recommendations for you and your fiancée to review. How can we do that, you ask? I’m going to walk you through a few of the steps I use to help my clients work with me to plan a honeymoon that’s perfect for them. The first step in my process for planning honeymoons, is to get to know you. I want to know what you do and who you are. What you like and what you don’t like. Your favorite foods, your favorite drinks and the things to do together as a couple. By getting to know and understand you likes and dislikes, I’m able to make recommendations just for the two of you. I want to know the story of YOU. Between here and step two, this is where we decide if we’re a good fit for each other. It’s my goal for my clients to be completely comfortable in working with me to plan an out of this world honeymoon. Before we venture to the next step, why don’t you take a couple of minutes and complete the Honeymoon Destination Quiz. It doesn’t include every place in the world, but it might give you a different idea of where you might like to go. The second step is helping you discover the destination of your dreams. Many couples know where they think they want to go, but it’s my job to give them at least a second option based on my years of experience in planning travel. This step includes what you want to experience on your trip. Are you looking to relax on a beach or take in the mountain view from a secluded cabin? What type of dining do you prefer? What type of accommodations do you enjoy? Do you want to fly or drive? How much of an investment are you willing to make in your honeymoon? How long can you be away? Those aren’t all of the questions, but it gives you an idea of how seriously I take my job in finding you the very best options for your honeymoon. The third step is putting all the information together and presenting the options to you. It normally takes 48 to 72 hours to prepare the recommendations for your review. Included in the itinerary, will be recommendations for transportation, accommodations, and excursions. It will also include the cost of the itinerary and the payment requirements. If there is something you don’t like or want to change, we work on it together and polish the itinerary until till it’s a shiny as your engagement ring.
